MY STORY
Hi, I'm NURA.
Nura Creitz comes from an eclectic musical background, propelling her songwriting and arrangement styles to be soulful and slightly quirky.
Growing up in Luxembourg, raised by a Persian mother and an American father, Nura was exposed to a wide range of musical styles, gifting her a platform to explore and express her music that is contextually appropriate and unique.
She began her musical pursuit at an early age, initially trained at the Conservatory of Luxembourg and continued her studies at Berklee College of Music to explore jazz and contemporary music.
Taking some time off from the music scene in LA, Nura pursued a graduate program at USC and started a family. ​
Nura has toured through Central and Eastern parts of Europe, and the U.S..

Now living in Portland, Or, she hopes to join the community of thriving musicians and keep developing and sharing her craft.

To break assumptions and social barriers, opening accessibility to music making through voice, piano, guitar and songwriting. Music is for everyone!

Offering lessons on line to everyone with an eye on expansion to open in person lessons in Portland, Oregon.
ABOUT NURA
Having taught for 25 years, Nura makes it a point to listen to her students and designs a curriculum matching their ability and help them to meet their goal, encouraging self agency on their journey.

Her teaching methodology is a combination of using classical and modern techniques to not only help you succeed at your performance but to also leaving you satisfied with your progress and results.

Nura, started her studies at a young age at the Conservatoire de Luxembourg, in Luxembourg and graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and a graduate program at the Thornton School of Music, University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. In addition she is a certified as a Music Together teacher.

Fun fact: I speak 4 languages. Luxembourgish, French, German, English.
